I’m Jan: geek, STEM advocate and Chief Science Officer.
I have a degree in Molecular Biochemistry from Oxford University and a doctorate in Computational Neuroscience from Sussex. I’ve recently finished a third degree in Mathematics with Open University while working full time.
During the day, and sometimes out of hours, I work as a Chief Science Officer. You can read all about that on my LinkedIn page.
I’m also building a 3D printer from scratch, just because I think every home should have one and understanding machines from their component parts makes it easier to adapt and extend them.
I firmly believe that an understanding of technology and logical problem solving is essential to our social and economic progression and support initiatives that help make this accessible.
This blog is for topics of interest as a CSO, artificial intelligence, mathematical musings and my journey with the 3d printer construction and subsequent designs. I hope you enjoy it.
